    公司简介

    中国太平洋保险公司1991年4月26日在上海正式开业,是中国第一家全国性的股份制商业保险公司。2001年10月24日经国家工商行政管理总局批准,公司正式更名为"中国太平洋保险(集团)股份有限公司",公司在国内控股投资设立中国太平洋财产保险股份有限公司和中国太平洋人寿保险股份有限公司,产、寿险公司在国内主要城市设有1100多个分支机构,拥有较为完善的保险服务网络。与此同时,公司在美国投资设立中国太平洋(美国)服务公司,在香港投资设立中国太平洋保险(香港)有限公司,在伦敦和纽约设有代表处,在100多个国家和地区的170多个主要港口城市,聘请了保险检验、理赔和追偿代理人。至2003年末,公司总资产达到916.17亿元;2003年实现保费收入490.44亿元;实现利润10.05亿元。1995年、1999年、2000年,公司被标准普尔公司评为世界大型保险公司200强之一,分别列第104位、48位、45位;公司2000年至2004年度被"商业创新方向"国际组织分别授予国际质量金星奖、白金奖、钻石奖、信誉钻石奖及欧洲国际质量技术杰出钻石奖。

    中国太平洋财产保险股份有限公司北京分公司1992年4月经保险监管机关批准,并于同年9月21日正式宣告成立以来,坚持走规范化商业保险公司发展的道路,始终以"一流的服务质量、一流的工作效率、一流的公司信誉"为宗旨,使财产保险业务得到了迅速发展。2004年保费收入突破十亿元,达到107813万元,支付各类财产赔款34439万元。2000年11月,根据《保险法》的规定,经中国保监会批准,中国太平洋保险公司顺利实施产、寿险分业经营机构体制改革,原太保北京分公司正式更名为中国太平洋财产保险股份有限公司北京分公司。

    公司认真实践"诚信天下,稳健一生"企业核心价值观,以市场为导向,以客户为基础,坚持稳健经营,积极开展管理创新、服务创新、产品创新,认真打造太平洋保险服务知名品牌,不断提升公司的核心竞争力,2001年至2004年在太保系统经营管理等级评定中连续被评为AAA级。2003年公司被首都精神文明建设委员会、北京金融工委和北京保监局授予"首都创建文明行业活动规范化服务行业"称号,成为北京市产险公司中首家获此殊荣的单位。2004年又被首都精神文明建设委员会授予"首都文明单位"和"首都文明单位标兵"荣誉称号。

    公司在北京城郊区下设8家支公司,拥有员工500人,与北京市大多数专业保险代理、经纪、公估公司、保险兼业代理机构都建立了合作关系;业务范围是:承保人民币和外币的各种财产保险,包括财产损失保险、工程保险、责任保险、信用保险、短期人身意外伤害保险等保险业务;办理各种法定财产保险业务;与国内外保险机构建立代理关系和业务往来关系,代理外国保险机构办理对损失的鉴定和理赔业务及其委托的有关事宜;《保险法》所规定的资金运用业务;经批准参加国际保险活动;经中国保险监督管理委员会批准的其他业务。

    About the Company

    China Pacific Insurance Company was incorporated in Shanghai on April 26, 1991 as the first nationwide joint stock commercial insurance company in China.Approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the company was renamed "China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd" on October 24, 2001 and divided into two controlled divisions, China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd and China Pacific Life Insurance Co., Ltd. With more than 1100 branches and offices in major cities across China, the two divisions have formed well-established insurance service networks. Besides, the new company invested in setting up China Pacific (America) Services Inc in the US, China Pacific Insurance (H.K.) Co., Ltd in Hong Kong, and representative offices in London and New York. In over 170 major port cities dotted over more than 100 economies, the company contracts insurance inspectors, adjusters and subrogation agents. In 1998, the company and ING formed a joint venture called Pacific-Antai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. As at the end of 2003, the company had total assets of RMB91.67 billion, registered premium income of RMB49.044 billion, and profits of RMB1.005 billion. The company was ranked among the top 200 global insurance giants by Standard & Poor's in 1995, 1999 and 2000 respectively, taking the 104th, 48th and 45th places. Between 2000 and 2004, the company was conferred by Business Initiative Directions the International Quality Award in the Gold Category, International Quality Award in the Platinum Category, International Quality Award in the Diamond Category and the International Arch of Europe Award for Quality and Technology in the Diamond Category.

    Approved by the insurance regulatory authority in April, 1992, and established on September 21 the same year, the Beijing Branch of the China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd has traveled along the route of standardized commercial insurance services and witnessed rapid development of property insurance, anchored by the concepts of "quality service, highest efficiency and best business reputation". In 2004, the premium income of the Branch topped RMB1 billion and hit RMB1,078,130,000, and claims totaled RMB344,390,000. In November 2000, China Pacific Insurance Co., Ltd, with the approval of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, completed its institutional reform to separate the business of property insurance from that of life insurance in accordance with the Insurance Law. Accordingly, the Beijing Branch of the previous company was renamed the Beijing Branch of China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd.

    Revolving around the core values of "integrity and steadiness", the Branch has actively made innovations in management, services and products, earnestly built up the brand image of Pacific Insurance, and continuously improved its core competitiveness by following a market-oriented, customer-based approach, and by insisting on steady operation. For four consecutive years since 2001, the Branch received AAA ratings for its operation and management performance within the Pacific Insurance Group. In 2003, the Branch was conferred by the Beijing Committee for Construction of Spiritual Civilization, Beijing Financial Work Committee and Beijing Insurance Regulatory Bureau the title "A Demonstration of Standardized Service in the Campaign to Build Refined Sectors in Beijing" and was the first honoree among property insurers in Beijing. In 2004, the Branch received the honorary titles of "Cultivated Organization of Beijing" and "Example of Enlightenment in Beijing" from Beijing Committee for Construction of Spiritual Civilization.

    The Branch has 8 sub-branches in urban areas and suburbs of Beijing and 500 employees, and has established cooperative relationships with most of the professional insurance agents, brokers, assessment companies and non-dedicated insurance agents. Its scope of business is: coverage of various risks of property denominated in Renminbi and foreign currencies, including property loss insurance, engineering insurance, liability insurance, credit insurance and short-term accidental personal injury insurance; offering various statutory property insurance; agency and business contact with domestic and overseas insurance institutions, including loss determination, claim settlement and other issues entrusted by foreign insurers; capital operation authorized by the Insurance Law; approved participation in international insurance activities; other services approved by China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

  In the face of intensified market competition, the Branch's staff will continue to follow the three-point quality service principles, insist on the "Customer First, Service Differentiating" business concept, sincerely provide all walks of life with quality, efficient and standardized services, and make greater contributions to promoting the capital's economy, securing the people's lives, and reinvigorating the national insurance endeavors.
